Rescue Practice
The Mehlville School District provided a parking lot and a school bus on Wednesday, Oct. 22, so fire crews from several communities could practice dealing with serious crashes. Transportation Director Dan Gilman helped set up three scenarios...a car-car crash, a car-dump truck crash, and a car-school bus crash. The bus was ready to be retired from the District's fleet so this was a perfect sendoff. Lots of valuable training took place, so when a real accident happens these emergency crews are ready! Bus Washing
What was the most memorable summer job you ever had? How would you like to be responsible for washing and waxing an entire fleet of school buses? That's what five recent graduates of Mehlville School District are doing this summer. They wash buses Mondays through Thursdays from 6 a.m to noon.
